STEVEDORING COMPANIES IN THE DUTCH SEAPORTS

The position of the stevedoring companies in relation to the development of the Dutch seaports as seen by the national investment bank of the Netherlands is reviewed. The expansion of World trade, infrastructure, service sector and spread of interests are considered. Investments, the growth of transshipment, storage, container terminals, the growth of ro-ro and specification are discussed. Shipments, cargo handled and company statistics are given.
