SHORT-TERM SAMPLING TECHNIQUES FOR DETERMINATION OF MOTOR-VEHICLE TRAFFIC NOISE EXPOSURE

This paper describes a cost-efficient method of determining long-term site-specific motor-vehicle noise exposure from short-term sampling and subsequent analyses. The method of site-specific noise exposure determination presented requires only limited time on the site and simple post-measurement calculations. Noise exposure levels determined using the short-term method agree well with corresponding values determined either from long-term measurements or accepted analytical procedures.
