ANALYSIS OF BUS FLOW PARAMETERS IN A DOWNTOWN TRANSMIT MALL

This paper examines several alternative facility design types and establishes the maximum flow of buses that can be processed for fixed passenger demand. A necessary prerequisite to the optimal design of a boarding/unboarding facility is shown to be an understanding of any possible interrelationship between transitway layout and bus operations.
