Safety Evaluation of Increasing Retroreflectivity of STOP Signs

This document is a technical summary of the Federal Highway Administration report, "Safety Evaluation of Increasing Retroreflectivity of STOP Signs." This study evaluated the safety effectiveness of STOP signs with higher retroreflectivity. This strategy is intended to reduce the frequency of crashes related to driver unawareness of stop control at unsignalized intersections.
