THE EFFECTS OF REFRACTION ANOMOLIES AND FIELD OF VISION LIMITATIONS IN TRAFFIC

AUSWIRKUNGEN VON REFRAKTIONSANOMALIEN UND GESICHTSFELDEINSCHRAENKUNGEN IM STRASSENVERKEHR

Following correction of eyesight by means of spectacles or contact lenses, in most cases the required degree of vision is achieved. However, a series of new problems frequently arises: unsuitable spectacle frames, multi-focal lenses. Progressive lenses in particular narrow the field of vision, often considerably. With good compatability it should be possible to correct "aphake" in traffic with the aid of contact lenses. Where necessary, car driving should be regulated in certain cases by means of individual particulars entered in the driving licence. /TRRL/
