PASSING SIGHT DISTANCE AND NO-PASSING ZONES: PRESENT PRACTICE IN THE LIGHT OF NEEDS FOR REVISION

This article points to the basis of the problem of certain vertical and horizontal curves being marked for passing when their designers had no intention of having these curves included in passing zones. The article refers to two-lane highways only.
