CHEMICAL STABILIZATION OF THE EARTH SLOPES OF HYDRAULIC STRUCTURES

The authors report that the highway department of the Kazan Civil Engineering Institute in USSR has developed a method of deep chemical stabilization of the slopes of earth structures by creating injected retaining piles of stabilized soil. The surfaces of the damaged parts of the slopes after filling them in with soil and grading are covered with a waterproof layer of stabilized soil 10-15 cm thick.
