PRINCIPLES AND ADVANTAGES OF A VIRTUAL VIGNETTE

While the discussion on interoperability and ITS operationalisation is still under way, the principle of a virtual vignette might be a convenient and alternative solution for countries looking to introduce road charges tobe operated over the intervening years. This paper describes the concept and the advantages of such a virtual vignette system. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
