Modelling of New Pricing Strategies for the Santiago Metro. Volume 1: Travel Behavior
The problem this paper faced was to model the time of day choice of travel of people who would start facing a pricing system that changes differently depending on the period of the day. For this purpose, the paper used stated preference (SP) rating data, collected in December 1993 from users of the Santiago Metro (which had a flat rate fare system), on the willingness to change time of travel when offered a money discount and an improvement in comfort.
