OIL SEPARATOR FOR SEPARATING OIL FROM WATER BY MEANS OF GRAVITY

The oil-water mixture, for instance bilge water, tank cleanings or industrial waste water, flows into a separator tank fitted with conventional bundles of inclined plates through which the mixture passes in the downwards direction. The separated oil and water components then flow to separate collecting chambers adjacent to each other, separated by dams and located at the top of the separator. A special arrangement prevents oil-water remixing, and enables operation in rough seas at greater efficiency. Order from NSFI as No. 16692.
