AUTOMOTIVE EMISSION REGULATIONS AND THEIR IMPACT ON REFINERY OPERATIONS

Automotive emission controls are already making an impact on petroleum refining notably through limitation of motor gasoline lead content. This paper draws attention to the variety and complexity of the effects that possible future legislation could have on refining. The need to consider the financial and energy conservation consequences in relation to both the oil and motor industries is emphasized. /TRRL/
