MEASUREMENTS OF PROPELLER INDUCED VIBRATORY STERN PRESSURE
A measuring technique for determining propeller-induced blade-frequency pressures on ship model hulls has been developed. The selection of components and the mode of operation of the apparatus is discussed in detail. The system was applied to the measurement of pressures on a small model of a DE 1040 class vessel in a circulating water channel. Results of the tests are discussed and the measurement technique is judged to be applicable and useful. ( Author )
