Impacts of transport infrastructure policies
A framework for analyzing impacts of transport infrastructure policies under a holistic approach is presented. This framework incorporates the time dimension of dynamic interactions between transportation and activity systems and linkages and implications to socio-economic and environmental changes due to transport infrastructure policies. Using a time-series database, the impacts of transportation policies were examined in a case study. It is argued that in New Zealand the framework could be employed to add new information about short, medium and long-term impacts. This would help in achieving objective/goals of New Zealand’s Land Transport Strategy. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no. E215377.
