Proceedings of the Fourth PRC-US Workshop on Seismic Analysis and Design of Special Bridges: Advancing Bridge Technologies in Research, Design, Construction and Preservation
The publication, the proceedings of a joint Peoples Republic of China-United States workshop held June 19-21, 2006, in Chongqing, China ("City of Bridges"), examines state of the art highway bridge technologies and future cooperative research project planning and development. Fourth in a series of workshops on "Seismic Analysis and Design of Special Bridges," in China these workshops are sponsored by agencies including the Chinese National Natural Science Foundation and in the United States by the Federal Highway Administration. Special bridges include major long span bridges and small to moderate span structures located on particularly hazardous sites or having complex geometries.
