WHO PAYS THE FARES? THE TRANSPORT SUBSIDY LABYRINTH

This paper examines some of the more common forms of transport subsidy and the objectives behind their existence. It is stated that subsidies appear to fulfil few of the objectives advanced to justify them. An alternative approach to the subsidy problem is presented. /TRRL/
