AN ANALYSIS OF THE BEHAVIOUR OF CONTINUOUS COMPOSITE BEAMS UNDER REPEATED LOADING

This paper is one of a series of three which jointly aim to understand, quantify and predict the behaviour of stud connectors, and consequently composite beams, under repeated loading. Herein an analysis is outlined which evaluates the effect slip has on the distribution of stud loading and beam stresses. Not only is initial slip accounted for but changes in behaviour resulting from progressive increases in slip with cycles of applied load are also examined. This report is also issued as Australian Road Research Board Internal Report Air No 076-10. /TRRL/
