Theoretical studies of road heating involve the problem of determining the heat flow from a number of parallel tubular sources of heat at equal distance from each other. This report is a study of the two-dimensional equation of thermal conductivity in a plate or the ground with concentrated sources of heat. Solutions are derived for stationary conditions, time dependent problems and a rapid change in surrounding temperature. /TRRL/
