REPORT CONCERNING THE TECHNICAL EVALUATION OF INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE REUSE OF BITUMINOUS PAVING MATERIALS (RECYCLING OF ASPHALT)

RAPPORT BETREFFENDE DE TECHNISCHE EVALUATIE VAN DE PROEFNEMINGEN NAAR HET HERGEBRUIK VAN ASFALTVERHARDINGSMATERIAAL (RECYCLING VAN ASFALT)

In order to study the technical and economical feasibility of the reuse of asphalt from demolished pavements the following applications were studied by means of experimental sections of road and by laboratory tests: unbound roadbase material, broken up asphalt/cement (i.e. a mixture of broken up asphalt and sand stabilized with cement) and bitumen bound roadbase material regenerated with admixtures such as "rejuvenating" agents. Tests are described, results are discussed and conclusions are drawn. It is pointed out that the conclusions are based on single experiments. /TRRL/
