Transportation in America. A Statistical Analysis of Transportation in the United States
This publication is a compilation of the latest data on the nation's vast transportation networks. The publication provides national aggregate statistical data that covers all aspects of the transit industry in the United States and Canada. It is the only source of complete data for the entire U.S. transit industry. The publication was produced in collaboration by the Eno Foundation and the Upper Great Plains Transportation Institute with support from U. S. Department of Transportation (U. S. DOT), and it draws upon more than forty sources of information, including industry representatives, economists, and federal agencies. It provides a broad array of thoroughly sourced data, along with clear graphics, that describe the movement of people and goods along America's highways, railroads, waterways, on public transit, and by air. First published half a century ago, Transportation in America (TIA) offers analysts and decision makers across all modes of transportation an unparalleled reference tool.
