Lighting Liege
This article describes the new lighting and monitoring system at the landing field at Liege Airport in Belgium. Offering primarily cargo services, the airport features two runways, one of which is being extended, and will soon have a new North Apron which will feature four connecting taxiways that will be equipped with an LED light system. The LED lights will provide over 100,000 hours on average under normal operating conditions. An Airfield Control Lighting System (ALCS) will be used to operate and monitor the various lighting components.
