This article discusses concerns of U.S. legislators regarding safety risks involving Mexican trucking companies traveling on U.S. highways beyond border areas. It relates that there are still enough safety, security, environmental and economic issues involved with allowing trucks from Mexico to travel beyond the 20-25 mile border zones. A bill was passed in the House extending and adding more safety measures before Mexican trucks would be allowed full access to highways in the U.S.
