Getting There: A Personal Perspective from Two Coasts
This article discusses strategies for increasing mobility and independence for older people including walking, public transit, computers, delivery services, trip-making alternatives, and supportive roles for friends and family. Areas highlighted include a checklist of activities to help an older person identify mobility options in their community such as dial-a-ride, local bus routes, and routine destinations they can reach without having to drive a car.
