Holding the Line: New Fasteners are Helping Railroads Hold Everything Together Safely Despite the Demands of Heavier, More-Frequent Trains
This article presents a review of new products and features related to track fasteners that are helping railroads keep it all together due to rising traffic and increasing train weights. Some of the products reviewed include direct fixation track fasteners, spikes, pre-assembled fasteners with clips, insulators, rubber track pads, and rail anchors.
