The Global Economy and Freight Transport Flows
This book is framed around four major sections as they relate to freight transport trends. The first part examines globalized trade and freight in the perspective of intermodality from both North American and European perspectives. The second part of the book examines the role of logistics and the implications for freight transport in both North American and European contexts. The third part focuses specifically on technology and especially the implications of the growth in e-commerce for globalized trade and freight transport. The fourth part of the book focuses on the policy implications which are driven by intermodality, technology, logistics and sustainability implications for globalized freight flows.
