Research on Stiffness Matching Between Vehicles for Frontal Impact Compatibility
To achieve good frontal impact compatibility, it is necessary to help match stiffness between vehicles in addition to the enhancement of structural interaction. In this paper, the issues of helping stiffness matching in frontal sport utility vehicle (SUV)-to-car impacts were studied using MADYMO vehicle simulation and MADYMO occupant dummy simulation.
