Evaluation of Geotextiles Separation Performance on the Impact of Transport Loads: Experimental Research: Stage I
This paper looks at performance of geotextile separation functions in road pavement structure and geotextile damage from transport loads. Experimental research consisted of installation of 2 different types of geotextiles underneath the subbase (gravel-granite mix, granite, and dolomite) of road pavement structure, with and without asphalt pavement. During the research, evaluation of geotextiles damage and separation function performance depended on impact of different amount of vehicle loads. In stage I, performance of separation function and geotextiles damage was evaluated after 34,000 equivalent single axle loads.
