This journal recognizes that transportation is a vital element in the structure of economic activities not only in developed nations but throughout the world. It also recognizes the need for more interaction among transportation professionals as they strive to solve the pressing transportation problems of the local regions. The journal which is national and international in scope is expected to serve as a forum for the improved understanding of transportation in all its varied perspectives. Each issue of the journal will have articles directed toward a better understanding of some aspect of world transportation, as well as articles reporting on local transportation activities. These articles will disseminate information about regional activities to local professionals as well as to transportation experts in other regions with similar problems.
