Transport modelling coursewear

Greater financial constraints and increasing environmental concerns mean there is a growing need for transport planning.Interest in modelling as a planning or project assessment tool is therefore also rising.Consultants are finding it difficult to recruit qualified professionals to build or run these models. For this reason passenger transport modelling courseware was developed and released on CD-ROM.The courseware consists first of a manual that preseants theory and best practice and second of a set of exercises which lead step by step to the development and use of a complete model. The CD-ROM has been developed for a Master of Science level course in transport modelling. It has been developed for use on courses where teachers may use the manual and some of the exercises, and it may also be used for self-training purposes by persons who ca work through the exercises at their own pace. All the documents which present the exercises therefore exist in two versions, one for teachers and the other for "students".For the covering entry of this conference please see ITRD e132365.
