SEAT BELT INJURY TO ILEOSTOMY

Details are given of the injuries sustained by an 18 year old driver trapped inverted in his seat belt after his car had rolled down an embankment and come to rest on its roof. There had been no apparent failure of the seat belt. The injury, directly attributed to the seat belt, consisted of direct trauma to an ileostomy. /TRRL/
