LONGITUDINALLY PRESTRESSED CONCRETE T-BEAMS SUBJECT TO TORSION, BENDING AND SHEAR

The paper presents experimental results for the ultimate strength of longitudinally prestressed concrete T-Beams subject to torsion, bending and shear. Using the skew bending theoretical approach, expressions are developed which are in good agreement with these experimental results, producing a mean ratio of experimental to theoretical value of 1.06 and a coefficient of variation of 8.6%. The theory is also compared with experimental results of Reeves producing a mean of 1.01 and a coefficient of variation of 18.2%. /Author/TRRL/
