Can you see what we see? Working with the managers of the Great North Road
Set in a cultural landscape which represents all aspects of the visual spectrum, the 240 kilometre Great North Road was convict-built to link Sydney with Newcastle and the upper Hunter between 1826 and 1836. This paper describes how a community group, formed in the early 1990s, worked towards the preservation of this road.(a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no. E214188.
