PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN URBAN AREAS

KOLIEKTIVTRANSPORT I TETTSTEDER; PROBLEMSTILLINGER BELYST VED EKSEMPLER FRA TRE TETTSTEDSOMRAADER

The report presents three different studies concerning public transport in urban areas in Norway. The consequences of different land-use patterns are analysed for the verdal area. Different modes of service are tested for a small town, Mandal. Restraints on the use of cars in peak hours and increased public transport are discussed and compared to further investments in roads and parking facilities in Tromsoe. /Author/TRRL/
