Research Into Operational Parameters of Diesel Engines Running on RME Biodiesel

This paper presents an analysis of diesel engines running on rapeseed methyl ester (RME) biodiesel produced in Lithuania as compared to diesel fuel. Specifically, it looks at changes in the emission of exhaust gases and evaluates fuel economy and thrust characteristics of the engines. The paper also looks at the influence of fuel injection aggregates on emissions.
