ENTWICKLUNG, AUFBAU UND PRUEFUNG EINER VERSUCHSANLAGE FUER DAS NEUE PRAEZISE ALLWETTERTAUGLICHE ANFLUG- UND LANDESYSTEM DLS

An alternative for the existing Instrument Landing System is proposed. The DLS was designed as a more versatile ground derived system making use of the worldwide introduced DME (Distance Measurement Equipment). The angle of incidence of the DME interrogations are measured on the ground and transmitted back to the airborne equipment via a DME-based data link on the same channel as DME.
