STANDARDIZED STRUCTURAL CONNECTIONS. PART B: DESIGN MODELS

This manual, consisting of two parts (a and b), presents an Australian based range of standardized connections for steel structures. This part of the manual sets out the design basis used throughout the manual by providing recommended design models for a range of commonly used structural connections. Consequently, Part B is intended to be the design verification for the information contained in Part A of the manual. A review of available research on connections and of other design procedures is contained in SAA MA1.4, steel structures manual, Part 4 - connections, and Part B is broadly based on this document. SAA MA1.4 is intended to serve as a background to this part and as such should be read in conjunction with it. /TRRL/
