TRAUMATIC HEMIPELVECTOMY - THE TENTH SURVIVOR: A CASE REPORT AND A REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

This article describes the injuries sustained by a young male involved in a collision between a car and his bicycle. He suffered severe associated injuries to the genitourinary tract and rectum. Atypically he required secondary closure with autogenous skin taken from the severed lower limb, and in addition, he developed a compartment syndrome in the opposite leg. /TRRL/
