SHOULD NOISE BE TAXED?

FAUT-IL TAXER LE BRUIT

The authors examine the principle of taxing traffic noise, discuss possible advantages and how this concept might be implemented in practice. They explain the double function which should be involved in the policies for reducing urban traffic noise: encouragement on the one hand, and integration and financing on the other hand. A fee system would serve both functions. /TRRL/
