AIRPORT HYGIENE AND EPIDEMIOLOGY

Airport and aircraft hygiene is discussed in terms of supplying food and drinking water, the removal of body wastes, cleaning sanitary facilities, and the disinfection and deinsectization of aircraft. Consideration is given to airport epidemiology, noting that the assembly of persons and freight from all parts of the world constitutes ideal conditions for the spread of diseases including smallpox, yellow fever, and cholera.
