EVALUATING THE POST-CRACKING TORSIONAL STIFFNESS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE SECTIONS

Some theories for post-cracking torsional stiffness of reinforced concrete sections are critically outlined and compared. They are applicable to members subjected to torsion as well as to combined loading. A number of expressions are theoretically derived using a space truss model. Finally, the long term behavior of under-reinforced rectangular sections is presented.(a) /TRRL/
