A guideline on condition assessment of existing old railway tunnels
In this paper, the maintenance of Korean railway tunnels is presented, and a guideline on tunnel assessment is suggested on the basis of existing assessment results in order that the assessment may be more objective. In order to quantify the assessment of tunnel lining, the defect such as cracks, leakage, exfoliation, separation, efflorescence and damage of tunnel lining is quantified. As a result, the suggested assessment method is mostly accorded with the results carried out before, thus, the technical judgment was properly reflected in the assessment.
