Local government's role in delivering strategic infrastructure
Under the AusLink Roads to Recovery program, over the next twelve months the State Government will be courting Local Government to spend these funds in areas of strategic importance for the State. How to deal with the possible conflicting objectives to achieve a balance between local and strategic needs is an interesting challenge and one in which Australia's Automobile Associations could play an integral part.
