POST MALL OPENING TRAFFIC AND PARKING STUDY

The purpose of this study was to review the traffic and parking characteristics around the Rundle Mall environs in Adelaide, South Australia and to compare the findings with the results of the pre-mall feasibility study, conducted in 1973. This study, commissioned by the S.A. Director-General of Transport, was directed specifically to the following aspects in and around the mall: a) pedestrian movements into and out of the mall; b) traffic volumes; c) commuter bus usage; d) taxi characteristics; e) accidents; and f) parking in on and off-street location. /TRRL/
