INTERSECTION ACCIDENT SEVERITY RATINGS 1977

A large proportion (57%) of reported metropolitan accidents occur at intersections in Western Australia. They are summarized in a listing in order of severity. There are two listings. One ranks intersections according to a points rating based on the severity of accidents; the other ranks intersections according to the frequency of accidents. In both listings, differences in accident growth rates are taken into account when ranking by applying weighing factors to the yearly number of points or accidents. Data is supplied by the Road Traffic Authority. /TRRL/
