INTERRELATION BETWEEN FATIGUE STRENGTH FOR FINITE LIFE, CRACK GROWTH, AND CONSTANT STRAIN RATE BEHAVIOUR UNDER CORROSIVE CONDITIONS

13% chromium steel in two different microstructural conditions was studied. Crack growth at low crack growth rates and the susceptibility to stress corrosion as determined in constraint strain rate tests is different for the two material conditions tested.
