SHIP DESIGN COMPUTER PROGRAM: A WEIGHT, CENTER OF GRAVITY, MASS MOMENT OF INERTIA AND RADIUS OF GYRATION DATA COMPUTING PROGRAM

This program sums the weight and inertia components of a ship and computes the center of gravity, mass moments of inertia and radii of gyration. The vehicle weight items are listed according to their basic function and input in their respective Navy classification groups. The weight input is prepared directly from a Navy standard form. Where the moment of inertia of any component about its own axis, which is parallel to one of the ships principal body axis is known or can be estimated, that information should be input also. The program is written in FORTRAN II for the smaller computing facilities with an IBM 1620 and requires no subprograms. (Author)
