SOCIAL IMPACTS OF BART ON BAY AREA FAMILIES AND LIFE STYLES

The report describes the impacts of BART upon the families and life styles of Bay Area BART users. It evaluates the impacts of BART upon nine dimensions of family and life style routines. It also reports BART impacts on the experience of the region and riders' perceptions of safety and well being in the public space. Policy implications of the research findings are also included.
