PROCEEDINGS OF SEAT BELT SEMINAR. MELBOURNE, 9-11 MARCH 1976

By January 1972, seat belt wearing was compulsory throughout Australia. Key issues raised concern seat belt convenience, wearing rates and enforcement, child restraint, limits of protection, information requirements, public education and co-operation with other countries due to Australia's role as a manufacturer and importer. The seminar was conducted by the commonwealth Department of Transport. /TRRL/
