The GIS-T Based Integrated Platform for Super Highway Management

The GIS-T Based Integrated Super Highway Management Platform is a composite information system, which provides highway management department with multiplex management information. It includes the highway basic structure data, highways maintain data, traffic flow data, road monitor data and so on. Further more, the platform emphasize the data fusion process, so it take the management as the core of the platform, and it can make the management operation and the highway information service more efficient. The platform is different from the Highway Control Center, because the scope of the platform is wider than the center and the expansibility and the information service ability is also batter than the center. The platform can be constructed according to the character of the management department, and it can improve efficiency of the highway management. In this paper, we also share the experience with the Highway Construction and Administration Bureau Of Qinghai Province.
