LOAD DISTRIBUTION ON PILES

LASTFORDELING PAA PELER UNDER BRUFUNDAMENTER

This report deals with distribution of loads and moments from foundations to piles, and discusses the different models used for calculating this distribution. For symmetrical pile arrangements a simple elastic distribution can be used. This does not need much work and is well fitted for quick, rough calculations. The author has modified the method of Aschenbrenner, so that the influence of the surrounding earth is taken into account in a more correct way. It is concluded that the modified Aschenbrenner method gives a theoretically more realistic distribution of the pile loads than other methods. /TRRL/
