MECHANICAL ANALOG OF THE THORAX

ANALOGUE MECANIQUE DE THORAX

The model of the theorax which has been developed is a mechanical analog which is capable of reproducing a fracture at a calibrated level of force. This level has been adjusted according to criteria resulting from studies on corpses. The model is used on a vertical test bench. The force/deflection curves are compared with curves obtained from a human thorax. The behaviour of the model vis a vis the human thorax is analysed. /TRRL/
